Consteel Ltd cannot be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of our contracted obligations events cause that outside of our reasonable control (Force Majeure Event)
Consteel Ltd try to deliver goods within the published estimated timescales; however, delays are occasionally inevitable because of unforeseen factors beyond our control and therefore delivery times are not guaranteed. Estimated delivery dates are not part of the contract between Consteel Ltd and the buyer, and Consteel Ltd shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within the estimated timescales. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the purchaser and Consteel Ltd, the delivery of goods will take place at the address you have specified in the order. When the delivery arrives at the specified address someone must be present to accept it and I must sign the delivery form. Alternatively, an agreement can be made prior to delivery whereby written confirmation, in the form of an email or fax, stating permission is provided to drop the goods off at your given address without the requirement to have anyone present to sign for them. Providing that Consteel Ltd delivers the goods to the address you have specified in the order, then the goods will be deemed to have been delivered and Consteel Ltd will not be liable to you for any subsequent claim of non-delivery. Consteel Ltd does not have to be satisfied that the person who accepts delivery at the address is you (or allowed by you to accept delivery of the goods). Any liability of Consteel Ltd for non-delivery of the goods shall be limited to replacing the goods within a reasonable time or issuing a credit note at the pro rata contract rate against any invoice raised for such goods. The quantity or content of any consignment of goods or components of a good that is recorded by Consteel Ltd upon dispatch shall be conclusive evidence of the quantity or content received by you upon delivery unless you can provide conclusive evidence to the contrary.
If a delivery is made and nobody is there to sign for the product (unless a pre-agreement has been signed allowing Consteel Ltd to leave the product without a signature upon arrival), the product will be returned to base and be awaiting another suitable dispatch date. In these circumstances it will hold the purchaser responsible for paying all additional delivery costs to have the item re transported. For some Consteel Ltd products, such as metal construction, it is your responsibility to ensure someone is available to assist in the offloading of these goods upon arrival. This person must be capable of lifting items off up to 25kg in weight, as Consteel Ltd may only send one delivery driver and some components can weigh up to 50kg. In these circumstances, if an attempted delivery is made and there is no-one present and capable to assist our driver, we will return the building to base and the purchaser will be liable for all costs associated with a second attempted delivery. We cannot hold Consteel Ltd responsible for any damage or injury sustained because of incorrect unloading, usage or assembly of our products. For comprehensive instructions on how to assemble products safely and correctly, please visit the help centre on this site.
Please note; – If you order a garden shed or log cabin outside of our delivery zone, the lead time can be extended. Please contact us for further information.
Once goods have been delivered, they are your responsibility.
Consteel Ltd Delivery Information:
Delivery is kerbside only. You need an appropriate space as close to your kerbside as possible for our driver to deliver to.
We deliver garden Sheds and most garden buildings on a vehicle up to the size of a 7.5 Tonne Flatbed, in single panels and unloaded by hand on arrival.
Movement of delivered goods beyond kerbside is the responsibility of the customer unless discussed as otherwise prior to delivery. Movement of the panels beyond kerbside is at the driver’s discretion, and the driver will need to assess access on arrival to ensure that he can safely move the panels to any requested location beyond kerbside.
The driver will not carry panels through your property as we do not insure him to do so.
If there is a problem with any component, you have received or if something is missing, please email the office and confirm with photographs where applicable.
Steel construction Delivery Information:
We deliver all metal constructions kerbside only. We request that you leave a free space as close to the kerbside as possible for the driver to leave the building.
We deliver steel constructions on an 18 Tonne Hiab so you will need to ensure that you have sufficient space.
Movement of delivered goods beyond kerbside is the responsibility of the customer unless discussed as otherwise prior to delivery.
If possible, please ensure there are no obstacles, such as your (or your neighbours’) vehicle, that could impede the unloading on the delivery day.
Please advise us beforehand if there any overhead obstacles such as overhang trees or telephone cables that could impede the unloading on the delivery day.
If there is a problem with any component, you have received or if something is missing, please email the office and confirm with photographs where applicable.
Installation:
For full information regarding installation, please visit the installation page.
The delivery driver is not responsible for the installation of your building.
The pro-install team will contact you before the installation of your steel building to arrange a suitable time and date for the fitting.
Installation is likely to be on a different day to the delivery.
The Installers have a guide of up to 10 working days following the delivery in which to complete the installation unless arranged otherwise.
It is essential that the installer can use a short and easily accessible route to take the building from where it has been placed during delivery to where it is required to be installed. This includes ensuring there are no obstacles such as narrow pathways or archways. If the access route from kerbside to base is long or difficult to manoeuvre, you may be required to move the building into position yourself before the installers arrive – please clarify this in advance with your installer if you are unsure to avoid the possibility of a re-visit charge having to be applied.
It is essential that a Firm and Level base be in place before installation can take place – failure to provide this, in the professional’s opinion installation team, will cause the installation being aborted with a re-visit charge being required to be paid by the customer should another appointment have to be made.
It is essential that the base whereby the installation is required to take place is clear and easily accessible, with sufficient working space around all sides before the install team arrives. Failure to provide a cleared base with reasonable working space will cause the installation being aborted with a re-visit charge being required to be paid by the customer should another appointment have to be made.
It is essential that you have fully checked the delivery of your steel construction to ensure that all components, parts and fixings are present and correct before the install team arrives (informing us before-hand should there have been any shortages) to ensure that they have everything required for installation to take place.
Preparation of the base:
The base for the garage must be levelled. The minimum is 6 concrete blocks arranged around the perimeter, 4 pieces in the corners, and the other two in the middle of the wall. Another option is building a foundation, concrete flooring or lining the floor with cobblestones. Below you can see a drawing of the arrangement of concrete blocks for a standard metal garage which is 9.84 ft wide and 16.40 ft deep.

In our garages there is an angle in a threshold as standard.
Each garage must be mounted to the floor. A customer on his own can do mounting. With mounting to the ground, metal anchors are used, while with floor metal-plastic dowels are used. There is also the possibility of mounting structures with chemical anchors.
